How to Use Cannabis for Anxiety

It’s basically based on the way your anxiety works. Some people prefer smoking because it’s quick and easy. Your body absorbs it within about a half hour, with the effects lasting about three hours, which is good for quick relief, or if you feel a panic attack at hand. Edibles are good for much longer relief, and they take about 90 minutes to work. They can be precise and reliable if you get them from a dispensary, but don’t consume too much as it may do the opposite. Not all of the strains are good for anxiety, since there are some that actually can make the symptoms way worse, so talk to a doctor and find out the best ones for your needs.

Best Strains for Anxiety

There are a few types of strains that are good for this. First, we’ve got ACDC, which is one that’s high in CBD, and it offers good pain relief, and it doesn’t offer the same psych activity that THC does. The high amounts of CBD are good for reducing inflammation, which helps with chemical stressors. Myrcene and beta-caryophyllene, which help with anxiety relief, are the dominant terpenes.

Critical Cure, also known as CBD Critical cure, is great for soothing racing thoughts and tense muscles. There are some great terpenes in it, including myrcene, achimenes, geraniol, and humulene, which are all dominant within this.

Grandaddy purple is one tha’ts known to relax a lot of people, so it’s good for those who are stressed and also feel the effects of stress. Linalool and camphene, which are both good natural terpenes for stress relief are great for stress in the evening, and also staves off panic attacks.

Ringo’s Gift is one that’s high in CBD, and it combines two very popular strains. Harle-Tsu and ACDC. This is one tha’ts good for improving overall anxiety, and the stress when you consume it. It’s got a 13:1 CBD to THC ratio, so it’s really good for reducing stress in the short-term, and also improving your life quality too.

Harle Tsu is another one that’s award-winning, and has about 13% CBD to it, but it’s oftentimes a lot higher, but the THC in it is less than 1% in most cases. It’s great for those who want to lower their anxiety and improve the focus and their mind. The most dominant terpenes within this include pinene, achimenes, myrcene, and also terpinolene. For those who struggle with sleeping and need to relax like crazy, northern lights is a good one. This is very sedative, and is high in THC compared to CBD, and it’s got a really good profile for a lot of people. This is great for improving happiness, while also soothing stress.

Finally, there is purple Urkle, which is one that helps with improving insomnia and anxiety types of insomnia that happens. It soothes the racing thoughts, and the high pinene and myrcene content is great for helping you get the best, most restful sleep possible. Anxiety is no joke, and some of us need a bit more to help us with it to combat it.

Live rosin Vs. Live Resin

Most people who aren’t real connoisseurs of cannabis, which is most people, don’t’ actually know the difference between live rosin and live resin. They are similar in properties, but there are differences. They’re both made from the same part of cannabis: the trichomes. But processors do create live resin using propane and butane, and the live resin is made through solventless means, which involve higher pressure, water, and heat. The difference also impacts the way that it tastes, the strength, and the textures too.

Live Rosin

This is basically concentrates that are devoid of the chemical solvents that are used to help retain the profile of the plants, and they offer a variety of flavonoids, terpenes, and the cannabinoids. The live rosin concentrates are the fastest type of category, as they’re potent, fragrant, and also flavorful too.

They can be in one of the following ways:

  • Freshly pressed live rosin

  • Rosin budder

  • Rosin badder

  • Rosin jam

  • Sift rosin

  • Sift rosin in the form of a vape

This is considered live, which means that it’s made through drying this in a natural manner.

Typically, the processors of this do machine dry or hang your plants after they’re harvested, and this makes it efficient and safe. But they do decrease the terpenes over time, which are those little parts of the plant that are white and hairy.  They can be used to make everything, including hashish varieties.

They are usually frozen directly, to remove the “live” parts of the material, and from there, it’s frozen, and the trichomes are collected.

These are used to create powerful and flavorful combinations.  They ae strong, and they also are chemical-free. You can add them to vapes, dab rigs, and bowls and joints in order to offer a better, more enhanced experience.

What about Live Resin

This is one that is extracted das well through the freshly frozen cannabis, but there are chemical solvents used here, and also is pressed there.

These usually tend to be higher in terpenes, and also are definitely highly concentrated in terms of THC.

Live resin comes in the following ways:

  • Shatter

  • Sauce

  • Badder

  • Butter

  • Crumble

  • Sugar

  • Vape oil

  • Diamonds

This product starts out as a biomass, and then, when harvested, it then goes through the hydrocarbon extraction process.

Live resin utilizes chemical solvents in order to draw out the plant compounds.

Most of the producers will use propane and butane since it’s efficient.  These are usually hard to digest at much higher levels, so you need to make sure that you remove these from your last product.

They create an oily mixture, and then, it’s further evaporated to make sure that the propane and butane are fully taken out.

They then process and force the gas that’s evaporated back within the machine, condensing it back into a liquid form.

This is one that’s good for a lot of people since it can be a different form, and you can use this in dabs, joints and in a bowl.

This is one that also offers a lot of THC.

There are other properties as well, which include:

  • The whole plant profile

  • The synergistic entourage effect

  • More potent cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids.

  • A larger, more intense aroma

  • Works fast and doesn’t need to be smoked.

Both of these are considered extractions, and live rosin and resin are quite similar.

But, depending on the type that you want, you may want to go for solventless types with rosin, and resin has the solvents intact.
